Broadcast voice chain for your microphone
About
Vocalis turns any microphone into a broadcast-sounding one. It creates a processed virtual microphone that every other application can record from, while you shape the sound live and hear the result on your headphones. The signal chain, in order: - High-pass filter to remove rumble and handling noise - Noise gate with threshold, range, attack, hold and release - Compressor with soft knee, ratio, attack, release and make-up gain - De-esser that tames sibilance without dulling the voice - Three-band equaliser: low shelf, parametric mid, high shelf - Peak limiter with an adjustable ceiling All processing is done by Vocalis itself on top of PipeWire. No external plug-in packs, no audio server other than the one you already run.
