About

Mounter provides a simple, desktop-environment-agnostic GUI for mounting SMB/CIFS network shares on Linux. It supports network discovery, credential management via the system keyring, and persistent mounts through systemd automount units. Features: - Network discovery — scan for SMB hosts and browse available shares - Manual mount — enter server, share, and credentials directly - Active mount management — view and unmount connected shares - Persistent mounts — generate systemd .mount/.automount units - Profile saving — save connection details for quick re-mounting - Credential storage — secure storage via libsecret (GNOME Keyring) - Diagnostics — check for required system dependencies
