About

Riplika takes the tedious and technical parts out of backing up a media library. It asks the drive what kind of disc it is holding, reads it accordingly, and writes files that are already named and tagged. Put a disc in and the files come out ready to use. Films and television are named after what they hold, with artwork and the details a media player needs to shelve them properly, and music arrives tagged and with its cover. None of it needs renaming or looking up afterwards. Subtitles come out as text, in eighteen languages, so they can be switched on without a player re-encoding the picture every time you watch. A scratched disc is reported as scratched instead of handing back a file that plays and is wrong somewhere in the middle, and a game disc is checked against a preservation database so you know the copy came off exactly.
