About

Wield is a global-hotkey command palette and tray for quick actions and file conversions on Linux. It uses the XDG Desktop Portal APIs instead of broad host access and keeps every tool invocation local, with no telemetry and no network calls. This release bundles the shell, tray, global-shortcut integration, and two tools: a portal-based color picker and a command-based image converter. Additional converters and their bundled binaries will ship in a follow-up release.
