About

OmarchyTube is a standalone YouTube window for Omarchy and Hyprland — the ReVanced/SmartTube idea without a browser around it. It opens full-screen and stays out of the way, so the video gets the whole display instead of a tab. What it does: - TV (leanback) mode for arrow-key and remote navigation, and a desktop mode you toggle with F2 - Sign-in through Google's OAuth device flow: a QR code is shown and the session is stored locally — no password is typed into the app - Ad blocking at the request level, plus cosmetic filtering of sponsored shelves and banners, and skipping of pre-roll and mid-roll ads - SponsorBlock segment skipping, with the segments marked on the progress bar and an on-screen "unskip" button - Return YouTube Dislike counts on the player - Hardware-accelerated video decode (VA-API) - Its own browsing grid as the start screen — seven columns of cards at 1920x1080 where the leanback view shows one row of four — with search and arrow-key navigation The app talks to three services and no others: YouTube, the SponsorBlock API and the Return YouTube Dislike API. It sends no telemetry and has no analytics. It is an independent client and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or built by YouTube.
