About

Quran Reader is a native GNOME application for reading the Holy Quran. It offers two reading modes: a faithful Mushaf rendering using ligature-based SVG pages, and a text mode with Arabic and English (Sahih International) side by side.

  • Mushaf mode — authentic page-by-page rendering (604 pages, Mushaf Qatar)
  • Text mode — ayah-by-ayah view with Arabic and English translation
  • Bilingual sidebar — surah list in Arabic or English with live search
  • RTL-aware layout — sidebar moves to the right in Arabic mode
  • Keyboard navigation — arrow keys and Page Up/Down in Mushaf mode
  • Copy ayahs — right-click to copy Arabic, English, or verse reference
