About
Ferrex Player is a native desktop client for Ferrex media server, focused on smooth animated UI, zero-copy HDR playback on Wayland, and high performance browsing of large media libraries. Features: - Zero-copy HDR playback via GStreamer 1.27.x on Wayland - Animated poster grids with GPU acceleration - Keyboard-driven navigation with smooth scrolling - MPV hand-off support for maximum compatibility - Responsive UI across sorting, filtering, and searching Status: Pre-alpha (0.1.0-alpha). The player is under active development and best suited for self-hosters and performance-minded enthusiasts.
