About

TalkType is a powerful, privacy-focused speech-to-text application for Linux Wayland systems. Using OpenAI's Faster-Whisper AI model, TalkType provides accurate voice dictation with intelligent punctuation and formatting. Press and hold a configurable hotkey (default F8) to start dictating, release to stop. Your spoken words are instantly transcribed and inserted at your cursor position in any application.
