Domesday Duplicator

Capture LaserDisc and VHS RF over USB 3.0
About
The Domesday Duplicator is an open-hardware RF capture device that samples at 40 million samples per second with 10-bit resolution and streams the result over USB 3.0. This application drives it: one-click capture, live signal amplitude monitoring, a spectrum and waveform view, capture metadata, and updates for the device's own firmware and gateware over the same cable. Captures are written as FLAC (.ldf), the format the ld-decode and vhs-decode toolchains read directly, at roughly half the size of the raw sample data. Reaching the device needs udev rules installed on the host, which a Flatpak cannot do for you — see the installation documentation.
Permissions
3 permissions weaken the sandbox. Flatsonar asks before installing.
- all devices (/dev): webcams, disks, raw hardware
--device=all - X11 display: X11 lets apps read input and windows of other apps
--socket=x11 - full access to your home folder
--filesystem=home - inter-process communication (needed for X11)
--share=ipc - Wayland display
--socket=wayland - network
--share=network - access to /run/media
--filesystem=/run/media - access to /media
--filesystem=/media - access to /mnt
--filesystem=/mnt
Who publishes this
Something concrete is wrong: the id claims a namespace this repository does not own, or the build does things a build should not. Flatsonar warns twice.
- io.github.simoninns.DddGui claims the io.github.simoninns namespace but is hosted by github.com/domesday86 and does not build the owner's code
