About

clear-record is a local-first, open-source multitrack transcription and record-reconstruction tool. It takes several recordings of the same event (a laptop mic, a field recorder, wireless transmitters), normalizes and aligns them, transcribes them with a local model, reconciles the result into an attributable timeline, and exports Markdown, SRT, VTT or JSON. It is a post-processing tool: the pipeline starts at ingest and does not capture. Processing runs offline once models are provisioned — no cloud processing and no subscription. Recordings and transcripts stay on the machine; model weights are downloaded on first use and never bundled. Features: - Normalize and align heterogeneous audio sources onto one clock. - Offline speech recognition with a local GGML model. - Chunked, resumable transcription of long tapes. - Baseline multi-speaker attribution and a glossary initial prompt. - Export to Markdown, SRT, VTT and JSON, with quality metrics. - A local web console for managing projects and glossary tables.
