About
Meld is a visual diff and merge tool targeted at developers. Meld helps you compare files, directories, and version controlled projects. It provides two- and three-way comparison of both files and directories, and supports many version control systems including Git, Mercurial, Bazaar and Subversion. Meld helps you review code changes, understand patches, and makes enormous merge conflicts slightly less painful.
Permissions
3 permissions weaken the sandbox. Flatsonar asks before installing.
- full access to your entire file system
--filesystem=host - X11 display: X11 lets apps read input and windows of other apps
--socket=x11 - dconf: all GNOME settings
--talk-name=ca.desrt.dconf - inter-process communication (needed for X11)
--share=ipc - Wayland display
--socket=wayland - sets environment variable DCONF_USER_CONFIG_DIR
--env=DCONF_USER_CONFIG_DIR=.config/dconf
Who publishes this
Nobody has confirmed that the publisher controls this app id. Flatsonar warns before installing.
- https://github.com/ahnsik/meld-custom also publishes this app id
publisher:collision - packaged by github.com/deepin-community, not by the org.gnome namespace owner; it does build the owner's code from https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/meld.git
publisher:namespace - git source tracks a moving branch: what gets built can change without the manifest changing
source:unpinned - same name as org.gnome.meld on Flathub but from a different repository
publisher:lookalike
