Pulp provides a workflow focused on reading through an excessive number of articles via RSS each day with the goal of regularly marking all read, resting in a state akin to an empty inbox.
Contributing to that efficient skimming:
- Marking read while scrolling
- Ensuring full article titles and longer excerpts are visible in the article list
- A large mobile-friendly "mash roughly here" button to mark the list read and continue
- Minimising everything else, in both UI clutter and functionality
Along with direct feed access Pulp can synchronise to FreshRSS and Nextcloud News.
Complimenting Pulp being a bucket that you're aiming to keep empty are the abilities to share (via Mastodon, Telegram, Reddit and mail) and save (to Wallabag, Nextcloud Bookmarks, Nextcloud Notes and Iotas).
The goal here isn't to be a typical RSS reader, please see the README (via the website link) for more about what Pulp is trying to do and what's currently possible. There will be some bugs, reporting those (via the Report an Issue link) is greatly appreciated 🙏
Permissions
1 permission weaken the sandbox. Flatsonar asks before installing.
- X11 display: X11 lets apps read input and windows of other apps
--socket=x11 - network
--share=network - inter-process communication (needed for X11)
--share=ipc - Wayland display
--socket=wayland - X11 display, only when Wayland is unavailable
--socket=fallback-x11 - GPU acceleration
