About

JMRI is a set of community-developed tools for configuring and running your model railroad. With it, you can configure DCC decoders, control the turnouts and lights on your railroad, automate their operation, build control panels, create switch lists, and if you'd like, run automated trains. It works with most common model railroad electronics. JMRI provides both simple and very powerful tools for model railroad.

Permissions

  • all devices (/dev): webcams, disks, raw hardware

  • X11 display: X11 lets apps read input and windows of other apps
    --socket=x11
  • sets PATH: changes which libraries or plugins get loaded
    --env=PATH=/app/jre/bin:/app/bin:/usr/bin
  • full access to your home folder
    --filesystem=home
  • inter-process communication (needed for X11)
    --share=ipc
  • sets environment variable JAVA_HOME
    --env=JAVA_HOME=/app/jre
