Meridian Terminal is an independently engineered Linux terminal emulator written in modern C++20, featuring a robust PTY allocation layer, a high-performance ANSI/VT screen buffer engine, an optional standalone Meridian Shell with full POSIX job control, and an offline local-only Meridian AI assistant. Features include: - High performance VT100/VT220/ANSI terminal state-machine parser with 24-bit TrueColor support - Full POSIX job control (process groups, foreground handoff, background jobs, fg/bg/jobs builtins) - Built-in local AI layer for real-time typo detection across $PATH, command risk classification, and secret redaction - Privacy-first offline execution with zero telemetry or forced remote network requests - Rich configuration system with XDG-compliant path management and configurable keybindings
