Dictate
by Richard Smith
Real-time microphone speech-to-text using whisper.cpp
About
A small CLI program that does real-time speech-to-text from your microphone. It uses whisper.cpp under the hood for the actual inference, so all transcription happens locally on your machine. A lower quality model transcribes your dictation in real time. When you finish, a higher quality model processes the full audio, copies the text to the clipboard, and pastes it into the current application.
